EXECUTIVE CHEF: JOEL DIRECTO
"Main" course selections from the Princess Menu change dayly and usually include, at least, one meat dish, one fish dish, and one vegetarian dish.
Aside from these selections that change every night, Princess offers one or two "Favorites" that are always available.
While the quality of the selections vary from day to day and ship to ship, evening dining can, almost always, be counted on to be a special meal.
On this particular voyage we were treated to an excellent service staff, but, surprisingly, an in contrast to other Princess voyages, we had four separate main courses that were not edible.
Three of these bad main courses were due to the quality of the tough grisly steak served, the forth was "mushy" fillet of sole.
For some inexplicable reason, Princess seems to prepare excellent prime rib, short ribs, and beef Wellington, but is consistently poor in its quality of steak served.
In this case, the steaks served were the reason for the lowered over-all rating below. Most of the other foods were very good to excellent.
