West of Tonopah on highway 95 is a huge solar thermal power installation called the Crescent Dunes Solar Energy Project costing $975 million.
When still miles west of Tonopah, you begin to see a bright reflection on the horizon.
The closer you get, the more you realize that it comes from a huge tower that reflects sunlight to rings of solar panels around it.
