ARCHITECT: JOHN LAUTNER (1963)
Shortly after it was built, I got to tour the iconic Reiner-Burchill Residence known as Silvertop, a modernistic residence designed by John Lautner in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles.
A friend of the family, Dorothy Wilson, arranged for me to see the home during my formative years when I was just learning I wanted to be an architect.
I remember it made quite an impression on me and probably helped me to decide on a career in architecture.
