travel north america united states of america alaska skagway around

As with most of the cruise ports in Alaska, Skagway is heavily supported by the big ships that stop here.
We have heard that Princess Cruises (Carnival), like in many of the other ports, has heavy investments in local businesses.
Most of the people you will meet in Skagway are young summer workers from all over the US that go home in off season.
Even with the large crowds, it feels a bit like a living museum.
