The Mikimoto Pearl Museum features a clean, modern presentation on the history and methods of pearl cultivation.
One especially informative exhibit was hosted by an English speaking narrator that explained the steps in cultivating a pearl.
He illustrated his talk with a number of great physical examples of everything from the actual neucleus around which the pearls form to the oysters themselves.
This gentlemen's presentation and answers to visitor's questions was a highlight of the museum.
