Coquimbo is a port city, commune and capital of the Elqui Province on the Pan-American Highway in the Coquimbo Region of Chile and is part of Greater La Serena.
We docked in Coquimbo on our 2024 cruise around South America.
We did not get a chance to walk around the area because we had planned our day to visit a winery and the Monumento Nacional Valle del Encanto to see petroglyphs.
But we did get a fairly good overview both from the ship and driving through the city.
