We decided to purchase picnic baskets prepared by Butchart Gardens for dining on the lawn.
The food was excellent and well prepared and came with a checkered table cloth and linen napkins in a beautiful wicker basket.
Each basket included an appetizer of prosciuto ham, Bree cheese, and a pickle, an entree served on greens with potatoe salad, a cucumber and tomato salad,
a whole grain roll, a dessert of four pastries and fresh grapes, and a bottle of water.
We ordered two baskets for the three of us.
They seemed a bit pricey at CAD $27.00 each, but we found they were well worth the price... and with a favorable exchange rate, they were even better at about US $20.79 each.
We enjoyed the picnic on the lawn as we waited for the evening concert with a group called Shutcliff that did a great job on Beatles tunes and others.
