travel europe & asia turkey ephesus 2013

On our 2013 trip, our visit to Ephesus was blessed with near 100 degree F temperatures and huge crowds.
Still, we were able to see many things... some we had seen in 1978, but a lot more were new.
Archeologists had accomplished a lot since our visit 35 years ago.
We were able to visit a whole new section of the city that had not been excavated in 1978... the terrace homes.
Here, with financial help from many outside sources, much had been accomplished.
The whole area is enclosed under a roof and easy access is provided by modern stairs and platforms.
It was truly fascinating...
