The access to Manarola's waterfront gives you the false impression that the harbor is smaller than either Riomaggiore or Vernazza.
However, once you get beyond the first congestion, there is quite an expansive harbor.
The acces to the water is more difficult than Vernazza, but it doesn't seem to deter swimmers and sunbathers.
We didn't swim here, but it looks like it would be worth a return trip.
