One of Lynn's mother's relatives was doing genealogy research from Germany and we were able to make contact.
When we visited Germany in 1991, we arranged to meet with them. They invited us to stay with them in Lippstadt and they were perfect hosts.
They visited us in Yachats and then we visited them again in 1994.
They showed us around the whole area with an emphasis on meeting our current relatives and also seeing some of the old properties where Lynn's ancestors lived.
They also took us trekking in the countryside where we saw some local vegetation and historic structures.
We had a great time...
