Delbruck is a small town in the district of Paderborn in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia.
In 1991, my wife and I traveled here with our children, Wyatt and Ryan, Lynn's mother, Ginny, and Lynn's niece, Angela.
We made a special visit with our hosts from Lippstadt, our newly discovered relatives, Wolfgang and Annemarie Kayser.
The Kaysers took us to visit several of Lynn's ancestoral family farms and/or homes of her ancestor's decendents that lived in the area.
We visited the families of Heinz & Margret Kettelgardes, Hans & Maria Westerhorstmann, Josef & Margret Franzlubbers, and Johannes & Kathe Meiwes.
All the families treated us like royalty with fantastic "huge" home-cooked food... one very formal, another, wild boar the farmer had hunted himself, and another with wonderful desserts.
There is no question but that the Germans really know how to treat their guests well.
Unfortunately, either my film was bad or my camera was not working properly that day and my pictures turned out terrible...
I keep and share them anyway to try and recapture some of the memories.
