I visited Schwerin (in the former East Germany) as a chaperone with a group of high school foreign exchange students from Waldport, Oregon.
It was an interesting trip in an interesting time not too long after the wall came down.
The city was bustling with the influx of West German money and there was a lot of renovation and reconstruction going on...
