Frankfurt is one our favorite cities to fly into because it is close to both the Romantic Road and the Rhine and it tends to be a less expensive flight than others.
My son, Wyatt, and I got to see a bit of the city in 2017 when we took the train from the airport to city center and then walked a half mile to pick up our car rental.
