Stuttgart, as the capital and largest city in Baden-Wurttemberg, has the feel of a robust working city.
We stayed here in 1984 at the home of a friend of my mother-in-law, Gretchen.
She was a great host and took us to a family grape picking party in the small town of Brettach.
