We have visited Nice twice, once in 1991 and again in 1994.
On the first trip, we stayed there to visit what was advertised as a kid friendly amusement park.
After experiences with Disney, Sea World, and others, the park was a huge, expensive, disappointment.
On our second trip, we used Nice as a home base for exploring some of the smaller beach towns.
Nice has a nice setting, a decent beach, and Vieux Nice, the old town, is interresting, especially early on a market day.
