Grenada is an island nation in the West Indies at the southern end of the Grenadines Islands.
The island is just under 350 square miles and is known as th "Island of Spice."
Grenada has a history of being controlled by both France and Britain as well as a Marxist People's Revolutionary Government (PRG) led by Maurice Bishop.
In October 1983, soldiers from the United States and Barbados invaded Grenada and freed several American students being held captive.
St. George's is the harbor city of Grenada and we found it a very pleasant place to visit.
