The more I travel the world, the more I have tended to stop buying souvenirs and, instead, have begun collecting samples of local currency.
I find that local currency often tells more of the story of the current culture than any other souvenir could.
What a country puts on their currency reflects the image they which to present of their culture.
Here is sample of the currency of Vietnam.
