Lynn and I visited the small city of Toba on the east coast of Japan between Osaka and Tokyo in January of 2020.
Although the city has a beautiful setting amoung green islands with colorful harbors, the city itself is plain and ugly.
Toba's fame comes from the fact that it is the birthplace of Mikimoto cultured pearls.
The main attractions are an aquarium and the Mikimoto Pearl Island.
