We saw many artisans during our visit to Guilin. Most of them were on the government sponsored tours.
However, one local underground artist stealthily approached my wife on the street and then led her and her shopping companion
through the back streets of Guilin to his family's apartment where he sold "black market" artwork.

This "official" artist placed ink or paint on the canvas and then blew it across the surface with his mouth to form beautiful branches with colorful blossums.
These young women are doing beautiful silk embroideries.
